Satisfied Baby Juice: A Nutrient-Rich Juice to Support Breastfeeding Mothers

The Friday Plate Banner

Breastfeeding provides the best nutrition for infants, but many mothers worry that they are not producing enough milk. In many cases, milk production can be improved through frequent breastfeeding, proper latch, good hydration, and adequate nutrition.

Satisfied Baby Juice is a wholesome vegetable and fruit juice that complements a healthy breastfeeding diet. It contains ingredients traditionally used to support breast milk production while supplying essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fibre to nourish both mother and baby.

Important: This juice is intended to complement, not replace, evidence-based breastfeeding practices. Mothers experiencing persistent low milk supply should consult a healthcare provider or lactation consultant.

Health Benefits

  • Supports Breast Milk Production

Fennel has traditionally been used as a galactagogue, a food believed to support breast milk production. While scientific evidence remains limited, many cultures have long incorporated fennel into the diets of breastfeeding mothers.

  • Rich in Vitamin A

Provides a high amount of vitamin A, which contributes to healthy vision, immune function, and may help improve the vitamin A content of breast milk.

  • Rich in Antioxidants

Contains approximately 3,746 ORAC units per serving, helping protect the body's cells against oxidative stress.

  • Promotes Hydration

The high water content of the juice contributes to daily fluid intake, an important aspect of breastfeeding.

  • Supports Healthy Digestion

The fibre and natural plant compounds found in the ingredients may help support digestive health.

  • Alkalizing Effect

Has a PRAL value of −4.05 mEq/100 g, making it an alkalizing beverage that may help maintain the body's acid-base balance.

Nutrition Note

This juice is a nutritious addition to a breastfeeding mother's diet, providing essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and hydration. However, it should be viewed as a supportive food rather than a treatment for low milk supply. Successful breastfeeding depends primarily on frequent feeding, effective milk removal, proper latch, and individualised professional support when needed.
